I’m always trying to find ways to live as naturally as possible, so you could imagine my excitement when I learned how simple (and cheap!) it is to take care of my hair with only two products that I already had in my house.
The 2 Products You’ll Need:
Shampoo: Simply create a mixture of 1 cup water with 1 tablespoon baking soda, put it in a container, and voila!
In the shower, rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water and then pour some of the mixture onto it, making sure to massage your scalp and really get it all over. Leave it in for a few minutes, and then rinse.
Leave-In Conditioner: Mix 1-2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar with 1 cup water and put this mixture into a spray bottle container
Spritz the apple cider vinegar mixture onto the ends of your hair to help balance the pH, and give you shiny, smooth hair.
Tip: You might find it helpful to comb your hair before, to help with tangling
Tip: You can vary the amount of baking soda used in your shampoo solution depending on the texture of your hair. (Ex. Slightly more baking soda for oily hair, slightly less for dry hair)
I got great results using this method, and I definitely plan to make this a permanent routine. It’s about $5 total for these ingredients, and they last for months. (BIG SAVINGS!)
I’m going to try this tomorrow!!! I cannot wait!! :D
